Hi again! I was wondering if there is a method to resizing the super gump's text input area, so that I can actually see more than the first few words I type, and potentially see line breaks (i.e. if I type 2 small paragraphs, I'd like to see the line break). Hate to ask via a comment, but I don't think you were alerted to my last thread response. ;)

The client won't allow for automatic line breaks in a text entry element, you might want to use a PanelGump<T> instead of an InputDialogGump, check out the MOTD Module gump for editing messages.

Yep, I'd had thought about doing that. May take a bit of work to snip away all of the extra code for various pages/gumps that go along with the MOTD. I'm currently using the Xanthos MOTD, and while I like it, I'm thinking of slimming down to something a bit more simplistic.

The MOTD provided with VNc is dynamic, you can write BBCode posts in MOTD.xml - assuming you use the correct node attributes for each entry, you can edit that in real-time, then sync it up with your shard without restarting! - MOTD has full support for basic BBCode tags: B, I, U, URL, BIG, SMALL, CENTER, LEFT, RIGHT and COLOR - Check the BBCodeParser utility in VNc for more info.

I went ahead and did that already. =]

I really hate asking this in a profile comment, but my wife posted a thread recently about a crash we received earlier (when still using BC 2.1) that we THINK may be a result of VitaNex - any chance you could have a look and ascertain if it IS VitaNex? (not a big deal if it is, as I'm sure that crash was fixed by 3.0)

Yea, that's to do with the Extended OPL, that bug is probably fixed in BC 3

Thanks for the heads up. If it pops again, I'll let you know.
Now to get my hands on everything new in 3.0! =]

Out of curiosity, what happened to the release thread for your VitaNexCore? I had posted a crash log that I believe to be a result of the system, and when I went to do a comparison on a similar crash, the thread has vanished.

Feel free, but the release BC 2.1 will be getting majorly upgraded in BC 3 so it will be worth waiting to submit bug reports :D

I tried that FFA on 2.1. But core crashes without giving error. Im just testing it with the ffanox NPC's.

If it's something to do with Serialization (Deserialize) and you're loading the new script with old saves, it will be incompatible slightly because I converted Rectangle2D to Rectangle3D and this offset the Serialization by a few bytes.

I noticed you have a few followers =) You have helped me multiple times before, latest being with your voting stone! Your a genius lol! Do you know anyone that can help me transfer an automated 1v1 script, automated FFA script from Runuo 1.0 to 2.1? Im also after a bounty board =(

Converting old scripts from 1.0 to 2.x isn't too hard to do, usually just a matter of renaming some references, like Server.Scripts.Commands became Server.Commands - Commands.Register became CommandSystem.Register and then there's the simple conversion of ArrayList to List<T> and Hashtable to Dictionary<TKey, TVal>

As for the bounty system, I know there has been a few released on the forums before, I might consider writing a VitaNexCore module for a Bounty System, but that will obviously not be any time soon :)

You won't need to learn MySQL - All you'll need is access to a MySQL server - ADC automatically creates it's database and tables for you.

Hello Vorspire. You mention a save strategy that you use in a couple of the forums. Any chance you could share it, or email it to me to try to improve some of my scripts?
      1. Vorspire
        Vorspire
Late reply, sorry Lokai I never really check this wall - The Save Strategy I had actually hasn't proven to have benefits over simply compiling RunUO in .NET 4.0 - So I scrapped it. The underlying class that handled most of the work can be found in the source of the VitaNexCore project under IO/DataStores

You're talking about WebServerLite right? There is very little chance I will release anything more to do with that project, You'd have to pay me $1000 for me to even consider wasting more time on re-inventing the wheel :P
