A 3D Map Viewer Program

Came across this while googling and drinking tonight. Thought some of you might like it.

Its a program that uses OpenGL viewer and reads the radar map data to display a 3d image of your map. Not a top down 3D more of a zoomed out over the shoulder type view. Example from site below:

Here is the site describing it. I have not tried it, nor researched it any further than what is described above.


Seems pretty nifty if it still works. The blog post is from 2003 I believe.

Not a problem, let me know what you find out. I am interested in it but I can barely read English, let alone french. Unless its that munajey twa thing. Which im sure i've spelled wrong

sure i did not undestood what you wrote, lol.

Btw it works only with old sized maps.
The are sources downloadables.

To make it works you have to put exes in uofolder, then run :
Extracter -> Converter -> Main.

Exctracter : creates map
Converter: creates statics
Main: Shows what created before

To compile it you need GL scripts
Maybe i'll take a look when i'll have some time
