Creating a MMORPG like UO. Possible?

Heya fellows.

I was wondering with Double Fine successful run to get funds for a new adventure game and started thinking how cool would be if we could do something like that to create a MMORPG like UO and give the server away for anyone run/code like a FPS server and create their own community without any legal problems.

I think RunUO team and serveral other people here have the knowledge how to do and maybe start a successful company with funds at Kickstarter.

Probably there are many out there that would die to get something like that. Just look how Tibia, Runescape and others were successful.

Just my 2 cents.

Possible.. yes.
Easy, not.
Games like Wakfu are similiar to Uo, 2d and mmrpg.
It's more easy create a single player game, a simple rpg.
You have to spend a lot, time and money, for a mmorpg game.
But if you need some engine: cry engine 3, unity engine 3.5 and the lastest unreal engine are free, if you create a free game.
But this engine is a start.
