Gargoyle City

So, I downloaded UO this week, haven't done anything with UO in like 6 months. I'm using 7.0.27.x (don't remember the last digit in the client version).

I noticed two major things that are new. Blackthorne's Castle is now missing, and what on Earth happened to the Gargoyle City?!

I can't find anything on Google about it, anyone have a clue what happened and why there are like 3 legged crystal thingies all over the place?

Seems to be part of a whole event sequence.. Nexus things (the tripod crystal things), rioters, looters, the works.

With patch 7.0.21.1 the gargoyle city is still intact, so not really sure what patch did
change this :<
