Installing Game Mods and Tree Hacks Game mods and tree hacks are a great way to spice up your existing UO or even add a new aspect like tree hacks! Installing a mod is easy as pie Requirements: Any sort of Zip program such as 7-Zip Some knowledge of the location of your game files (or how to access your program files) Ok first up you need to Download the file you want to install such as Fez's Brown Backpacks a file like this will come zipped you will need to extract the containing files into a folder (doesn't matter where) you will then need to go into your game files and backup your existing files (just encase) Art.mul and Artidx.mul for tree hacks Gumpart.mul and Gumpidx.mul for Bag/gump hacks do this buy copy and pasting them into a safe place or editing the file extension into something uo wont recognize e.g Art.mulBeforehack you can now move the extracted game files into your UO folder and (if needed) replace the old ones POW your done load uo as per usual and enjoy

alright since i re-downloaded and patched up to the specified client for uo, i cant re-download fez's mods, says page has expired or some s&^t like that. any help? thanks.
Just remember to do this after you patch your client. I went to update after the server came up, and was pulling my hair out trying to figure out why it kept failing to patch. Turns out, I forgot that these hacks interfere with said client updates. Hope that helps at least one other person. And thanks Fez and Addicted!
no no, i completely re-installed, so that should'nt be the problem, i was wondering if the same hacks that fez came up with earlier work on the updated uo client? anyone?
Is anyone else having problems seeing the new items with tree hack installed? I reverted my map files to the originals before I patched then I patched all the way I could see all the new stuff fine until I added treehack again. ugh.
i dont even know where fez's new hacks are. i dont like the new hacks that take away all the flower, and stuff.

So fez, when you gunna edit every terrain file to ahve a 1pixel red border around it to make it tehuber haxers? We sure coudl use a good old grid so we can see fi the terrain is crooked! And you sould be able to get the mods off of uogaddict.com. If they are dead, give it a couple days perhaps. They worked when I was there a couple weeks ago.
