NEC MobilePro 200
(Release Year: 1997)
Does anyone know of any modification, hacks, known working operating systems that will work on, etc for the MobilePro 200? I see there are some sites, but I don't know a lot about the processor. (Which is MIPS I believe.)
I would really like to put linux on this instead of the crappy Windows CE 1.0, which I can't seem to find ANY applications for except the "Windows Power Tools CE 1.0" :/
For linux, I did do a search for a linux kernal/distro of some sort that would work with MIPS and found this website: Main Page - LinuxMIPS
I see that Debian and Redhat have a port for MIPS: Debian -- MIPS Port
but I have no idea if any of these will work on my little MobilePro 200.
I went here: AnyTux.org | Hardware | Linux on NEC MobilePro 200
and I get the "not compatible", so does that mean for any MIPS port?
eh, if I can't figure out how to get linux to run on it, I am still looking for Windows CE 1.0 programs.
(Which a lot of people tell me is almost impossible to find except for say the powertools.)
----- edit -----
Programs that came with my MobilePro:
Calendar, Contacts, Microsoft Pocket Excel, Microsoft Pocket Word, Tasks, Solitaire, Inbox(Email), PC Link(for internet/exchange files), Remote Networking, Terminal, Calculator, Welcome, and World Clock
