.Net Framework question

Hello everyone. I need some technical advice.

I am using an updated Mondain's Legacy client. I have not downloaded the PlayUO client.

Can the RUNUO server and Razor run on .Net Framework V3.5 or V4.0, or must they be run on V2.0 (or even 1.1)?

I keep reading conflicting posts, so right now I'm unsure whether .Net Framework 3.5 or 4.0 are cumulative and contain previous versions.

Or should I just install all versions of .Net Framework in succession?

I just went ahead and installed all versions of the .Net Framework in the following order:

V1.0
V1.1
V4.0 (not cumulative)
V3.5 (which contained V3.0 and V2.0 as well....if you install V2.0 and then try to install V3.5 it will not work (or at least it didn't for me) because V3.5 tries to install V2.0, so skip V2.0 and V3.0 and install V3.5 which will be cumulative for V2.0 and V3.0)
