New / returning... not as easy as it used to be

hey there. i'm newish. set up a server that i played around with for a bit about 3 years ago, maybe 4. downloaded all the stuff again and nothing works right. i don't remember it being this difficult. :-( anyway, hopefully i'll figure it out.

You are going to need to provide more information. RunUO has released several dozen updates since you last used it, many you have to apply yourself, if you have an existing shard that from a older revision. You could simply load what you already had and it would work.

i redownloaded the 2.2 with nerun's distro and just set that up. looks great... a little crowded, but it's definitely a start. a bunch of the "hoy to" stuff came back to me after fiddling around with it for a few days and i'm having a blast.

Its a time hole that's for sure, minutes turn to hours, hours turn into years. But Ultima Online is like the red headed step child that just wont die, it has it moments that make it all worth it.
