Erm...that's pretty damn weird. Never seen the emulator fail to compile with 0 errors. Hope someone else knows about this and can help you.

Ok I know this most likely impossible, will 2.0 (rc1) scripts work with 2.1 build 4272.35047? Because I already have tons of scripts for 2.0 rc1 and using Windows 7; I did some searching; but I don't have a lot of time online right now until next month and Im using windows 7 btw thanx in advance

Most will work without issue. But there will be some stuff that needs minor edits/updates. As some stuff throughout RunUO has changed over the years. The usual changes are related to the command system, and switching from array's to lists.

Oh boy that's like chinese to me thank you for trying to help; My 18 yr old son will end up with this pc anyways; Ill just stick to to either xp or vista, at least vista i have saved instructions on how to disable ipv6 and still run a server on ML thank you once again for the attempt :D

Setting up any version of RunUO is rather easy and the same for all versions of Windows. I myself use Windows 7 on all my windows computers.
The only thing that goes wrong when I fire up the (2.0rc1 ) ML (5.0.9.1) the server restarts itself (Just like Vista did) and when I use 2.1 with 7.0.0.0 the only problem I run into is that custom housing out of range exeption. (stygian abyss client)

I'd certainly like to know exactly how I mean I just want Ml (2.0) with client around 5.0.6-5.0.9 to work on this pc (My little girl likes to play but cant get it to work on win7 and its home prem so I cant d/l the xp mode on it) :confused: If only there was a way to do it; I have a copy of xp pro put away
 
I downloaded this and, as I have found throughout the boards here, it is operational according to expectations. I am a little confused though because it seems that the Z variable of the player is way out of whack. I created a necromancer character, initially starting in New Haven until I fixed the issue of not starting where it was supposed to, and I fell through the ground. Also, using teleporters or [go causes the player to get stuck at their destination. I made a new character after the fix I mentioned earlier and started doing the necromancer quest. Up until the Animate Dead section of the quest, everything was fine. The teleporter next to the coffin, the one that brings you to the next part of the quest, doesn't do anything. I tried to use the Horn of Retreat and the gate always appeared out of screen view due to the Z variable (I walked NW and was able to see the gate, but it was always out of reach, thus my hypothesis that the Z variable was the problem). If it was just an isolated incident, I would go in and fix it, but this seems to be on a slightly larger scale than I have time to remedy. This applies to placing houses as well and looks to be a pretty universal issue. There doesn't seem to be any consistency in the Z variable discrepancy value, so this is definitely something for the big boys to handle. Honestly, due to this problem, the game is basically only partially playable.

**Update**
Well thanks for the information about what this could be, but it seems this was caused by using Classic Client version 7.0.24.3. It was not easily found, but after two days of searching, I finally found that any client version newer than 7.0.23.1 is not compatible due to a variation in the way map files are used.

Hello ; just letting you all know that what I found when placing a 3 story house , All I see is a foundation without a pole & sign plus impassible in front of foundation up too 100 tiles.I placed the unusable foundation in Luna east side just outside the town about 20 tiles from the sandstone walls. Any suggestions on what I need to do in order to correct this ? As far as everything else goes all I had to do was correct the bad spawns upon first initial boot up.I'm running Win XP Pro with Ryan's newest 2.2 & patch 7.0.5.0 and also the wipe/delete command don't work on the foundation as a owner so I'm at a loss as to how i get rid of the unusable foundation.

Pure Insanity, I have the same problem as Yozzik. I downloaded a fresh RunUO 2.2 to a debian box with mono-2 on it and it failed to compile the scripts in the same way.
