Tired of whiners on privacy infiltration...

Do you think the government really cares about your private life?
No they dont. They dont care what your looking for on the internet...
They dont care how much porn you look at or how much phone sex you have... all they want to find are the badguys...
you should have nothing to hide even if you are one of those people they arent there to expose you, they are there to find out information that could save lives.

Oh shutup and bite me, it doesnt matter if they "care", your privacy is your own fucking privacy. Noone "cares" what you have to say yet we have to listen because its your "right" to freedom of speech. If I have to give up my privacy you have to shut your face and never talk again( everyone wants this anyways ). /badmood

I agree with Sith. I don't care if they don't care. There is no reason for them to know. I don't do anything illegal, but that doesn't mean I want some CIA agent talking to the president about how I called my mother today and asked if she was alright.

If you don't care about what people know about you, feel free to post your credit cards, IP address, all the ports on your computer that are unprotected, who you called today and what you talked about, what you ate this morning, how many times you masturbated today, and just generally everything you can remember about today.

The point is, it isn't their business. I have rights in the Constitution of the United States of America, and I refuse to let them walk all over that because of some lame excuse like "The information will help us catch Osama!" or any other reason.

I do believe you've said something I agree with now. Good job.

The government will take as much power as it can. The more freedoms we give up, the more power they get. And what is to say that they don't decide one day that the civilians are the bad guys :/.

Thats another thing. Are we supposed to trust that they will keep the information safe? They "lost" the brain of President Kennedy after he was assassinated, but they will take good care of your phone records? Yeah....

hehehehehehehehe Slayer I <3 you. I don't personally give a shit about people knowing what i saearch for (Hell, I talk of rimjobs often enough on here) But I can see how certain people would. that shit with aol is wrong. that being said, I'd rather have AOL as an isp and broadcast my info than msn which uses up 200 megs of memory and crashes to the point where I have to dry restart my pc 12-14 times a day. And thats just their dialer.

Here is the problem I have with them invading privacy like they are now, although we have no constitutional right to privacy (it's implied never stated) there are limits to what they can do with information gleaned from the general public

1) They are using it to circumvent due process of law. Searchs of property without the knowledge and concent should not be happening but it's legal via the Patriot Act. Your now proven guilty before you have the chance to defend yourself in a court of your peers.

2) There is a Federal Law that states that Telecommunication companies must try and protect the privacy of their service subscribers yet they are handing phone records, and internet activity logs over to the goverment. Which is ILLEGAL for them to do.

I agree that it should not be allowed to just search through someones house, computer, or whatever else without a warrent or something along those lines. I think the government is using this terrorist thing to push the people a bit farther and see if they can get away with taking more rights away from us.
Me personally, I dont give two shits about whos looking into my computer as long as they dont reorganized my RunUO files I'm fine with that, but then again I am not doing anything illegal and I have nothing to hide. Most likely the first government offical on my computers would be there for about a minute and say what a loser and leave me alone. But I think the government is going a bit too far with alot of the home security issues and other issues.

Hopefully, by releasing my records to the public, it will increase public knowledge of rimjobs and pegging porn.

theformat, if you don't mind, would you please fill out the form below and send it to the government?

First name, last name, birthday:
Country, ZIP code, city, address:
Bank account numbers/Pins/TANs:
Any other account/password combination:
That should help the country's deficit, if enough ppl do it.

Ok, a little more serious.
Indeed, everybody has things to hide, even in front of the government. Are you aware of the government trying to gather more and more info? Further you will know, in case you follow the news closely, that there is pressure from the economy on the government (and ISP providers) to share specific info for reasons like tracking down copyright violators.
You surely have to hide something too...
Examples would be your sexual orientation and fantasies, your diseases and intolerances and so on. There were incidents where real people lost their jobs for information of that kind being "public". Imagine you search for a new job or participate on a forum where people share opinions, that are not welcome to your current employee. It's none of their business.
It's none of your health insurance company's business if you use single meeting networks. It's none of your government's biasness, if you have e-mail contact with a condemned copyright violator or if you prepare a meeting with a college friend from Boston on ICQ.

(I'd like to mention all the ideas for the examples in this text ain't mine, I kind of lent the ideas with friendly permission of the original authors.)
