I'm not a subscriber and prolly won't be anytime soon since I lack a credit card and therefore don't have paypal. I try to donate in my own way by releasing scripts on the submission forum that are in line with the OSI clone goal of RunUO.
Anyway, I don't really understand why the request part is for subscribers only, as this 'gap' could be filled in by anyone willing enough to set up a webby for this. People that respond to custom script requests, I assume, are willing to script anyway; so if the requester donated to RunUO or not, is independent on whether someone want to script it.
But ofcourse, this is totally up to the creators of RunUO and its their good right to do as they please with their emulator, forum, and related activities. The current other features of being a subscriber sound perfectly normal for what one would get in return for a donation.
The only section that I think should be open, is the (official) bug-report/view section, if it works that is. I only read that it wasn't accessible anyway, but I can't check if it is working for subscribers. Perhaps submit and download/request rights for scripts could be linked, so only contributers (in script form, or payment) could benefit. This would require ofcourse moderation to rate/allow a script to be submitted which takes time, etc, etc. Oops, I'm wondering off again...
Oh well, just my thoughts
