In my shard, GMs are told to use their powers at their own risk. I, as an admin, always watch my GMs in action for about 10minutes each per day, to see how they're doing. We have a policy to wear GM robes and look professional, but some go off and wear jupiter armor and such, with no robe. Whenever something happens on our shard, as in a GM doing something wrong, I will confront them. If they ignore me, they're fired. If they respond and promise not to do it again, they stay. If I catch them a second time doing something wrong, I fire them. A^A, if he just ignores you, boot him. He doesn't even need to build walls, but ignoring your boss is something you never want to do, whether it be in real life or in a game like UO.
