The part where it mentions perchasing a subscribtion is a generic vbulliten warning when dealing with vbulletin subscriptions. That is why it mentions perchasing when the front page mentions donating.

You are right, it does mention donating. Generally though in my opinion, when you donate, you don't expect anything in return aside from the continued effort of those you donate to. With the subscriptions, people generally pay to get something, like access to forums, a sig/avatar and such.
but you are right again in that this is not something we should argue about, we are both right.
