At least someone is This is a bad kind of swollen, though.

I had popcorn yesterday afternoon, and, of course, one of the husks got stuck way down between my back teeth on the left side, and decided to work its way down into my gums. About 4 hours later, I started getting really bad pain in my lower left jaw, decided to pop some Lortab...I took the recommended dose of two tablets. That didn't seem to help at all. I took two more about an hour later...still no abatement to the pain. An hour later, I took one more. Finally relief began to set in...another hour went by and another Lortab, and the pain was finally down to just a dull thud. Then the swelling started. I was so hopped up on pain killer, though, that it was quite amusing to go into the bathroom every 15 minutes or so, and watch the progression of swelling of my face.

I kept taking Lortab every couple of hours to keep the pain at bay, and by 3am I was floating somewhere near the ceiling. Also, by that time, I had what looked like a golf ball sized knot on my lower left jaw. I figured it was time to find something to get rid of the swelling, but with my heart condition, there's not much that I can take because of drug interactions.

I finally came up with a bottle of Augmentin (antibiotic) XR 1000mg tablets. I figured I was working up an infection, so I took one, and then went to bed. This morning, when I got up, I was surprised that I wasn't in pain, but still something wasn't quite right. I felt the side of my face, and was shocked to feel a knot about the size of a hamster there. The swelling has finally gone down to smaller than a golf ball now, thank god.
