Another problem occurs when several people have similar releases, often containing much of the same content. It depends. Necroing as a whole is frowned upon, however there are instances where it can be useful. If you have new information for a thread, an upgrade or a fix to a script long since abandoned by its original author, its actually a GOOD thing to necro the original thread with a link to your script or fix for it. If people jump on you for that, screw them.
