Even if she had consented, she's well under age so it's still statutory rape. I'm just suprised her parents didn't abort, because even though I'm a christian there are extreme enough circumstances that would require it (namely, it's a huge danger to the mother and the child). All of this sickens me to my core, jail time is not enough for this man.
The sickest parts are that:
1) Guadalupe Gutierrez-Juarez is being held for OTHER rape charges as well (apparently she wasn't his first).
2) he shouldn't even be in this country
Something has to be done about all this, and it's not even just illegal immigrants. We need to find a way to prevent the rapist mindset, obviously there is something happening in these people's lives that is making them this way (apart from mental handicaps, though I'm sure those are present as well). Of course, to tell a family they're breeding a rapist and forcing them to raise them right would be the state interfering with peoples lives.
**side note: I also find it ridiculous that his fine would only be 50,000 dollars, not even the amount for copyright violation...what is wrong with our legal system...
