Default Getting the char from the current cursor position (console)

So what I am trying to do is finding out what char is at the cursor position.

I'm using SetConsoleCursorPosition(); to move the cursor to where ever I want, and I am trying to find a way to figure out what char is at the current cursor position.

Ideas?
