Default Microsoft XNA

I have Visual Studio 2005 Standard Edition. And Microsoft wants me to uninstall that and install Visual C# 2005 Express Edition just so I can use XNA Studio. I really do not want to go through all that work of uninstalling stuff. Is there a way around this?

Ummm I dont believe that having both installed is a problem. I remember the website saying that too. You need the express edition installed and it shouldnt effect your visual studios at all

You can install C# Express over Visual Studio WHATEVER fine. I was toying with XNA for awhile.

Express and XNA go hand and hand. I wasn't disputing that... but

Visual C# Express 2005 and Visual Studio 2005 do not. They both install certain files during the set up that are duplicates of eachother, this will cause problems. This is why you either have to do a custom setup or uninstall one.

nope, just installed it normally, but at least for Vista you need the SP1 for them to work together, im not sure about on xp

I do get an annoying bug report when the express version is closed, so it causes no problems when im working, but i havent had time to figure out why it is doing that
