Default [1.0-2.0] Dismounter

Summary:
Compatable with RunUO 1.0 and 2.0
Dismounts a Player when ridden over.

Description:
The Dismounter has settings for which direction the mount will face when the Player is removed and an optional message which will be sent to the dismounted Player.

11/1/05 Update:
Added percent chance (0 to 100) that the player will get dismounted, and an optional emote that the player will send when he dismounts.

7/24/04 Update:
Added options to block Mounts without a rider (defaults off) and play a random sound using Mounts basesound plus 0 to 3 (defaults on.)

Installation:
Extract to your Scripts\Custom folder and restart the server.

Might I note, this is perfect for when players enter PvP grounds, such as arenas, etc.

Just a note David.

The last ver of this script would crash my shard when sombody went over it with an etheral mount....

I'll test it with this ver.

Please let me know... There was a problem at one point with TheOutkastDev's Centuar race that should be fixed as well; maybe the same thing will fix your etheral mount issue.

When I use this script, un-mounted players who walk over it freeze. It dismounts perfectly and all, except it freezes players who walk over it. Could there be some similar script interfering with this one? I am new to scripting, so I don't know too much. Thanks

That is a totally new issue, I've never seen this related to the dismounter before. What else is unusual about the setup? Any other scripted objects there or does it happen with just a dismounter all by itself away from everything? Any modifications to the Players like custom races maybe? Finally is the server itself just lagging, what kind of machine are you playing on?

I fixed it. It was a problem I did with new player bodies. I modded the old player bodies when they are walking around (somewhat like a bodyvalue), which caused them to freeze when they walk over the dismount tile. I removed that script and it all works good now. Nice script

That's a beautiful script but i'd like to add it 2 features that i don't know how to make..

Someone can help me please???

1) The trap will not dismount every time a pg walk on it but i'd like that it will dismount for an X%

2) When the trap dismount an emote appear on the head of the pg, for example: *The horse dismount his master*

Please help me!!!

could it be scripted so that we could have jousting tournaments, like in war mode running at each other and only one person get dismounted, usually the weaker of the two but not always, i would have no known-how as to do his, but it sounds like it would be a neat feature for people wholove tournaments

That would be way outside the scope of this script. This is simply a device that a GM places which is invisible to players. You can use it anywhere you do not want to allow mounted players (such as at the door to the banks.)

I think someone wrote some jousting scripts a while back though. If not it would be a fun project.

I'm not sure if it would be easier to modify this script or to create a new one for that. At the very least this script would give you some insight. My suggestion is to look at this script and understand it. Take a shot at doing what you want then post in script support if you need help.

Nice script. Like this you can make a snake frightenes the horse and dismounts the rider!!! Great!

Thanks David! I love this, but it lacked a feature I needed for our shard, so I punched in Teleporter functions (Teleport to Coords, MapDest and Creatures Yes/No). Usefull for Dungeons you dont want mounted people in, or entrances to quest areas and so on I made this as an extra item, because the teleporting function blocks movement if no target is set.
