Default The Skill Purchasing Stone (A_Li_N's Edit)

I figured I should just post a new topic for this instead of using Admin Vorpsire's thread so I could eliminate any confusion of who's people are talking about.

This script is my edit of Admin Vorspire's great script. It can be found here. All credit for design/idea goes to him. I only reduced the code using my edits. See his thread for what exactly this stone does and what it looks like.

-Gold = Gold only
-Tokens = Gold and Takens
-XP = Gold, Tokens and XP

did you fix this yet for it to work from skillcap since im also using on my char creation a 12000 skill cap am curious

Yup. Set the SkillIncrease to 10 and MaxCanBuyTo 120.

had to ask wasnt sure but tested it and now all my players are buying skills thanks for the fix

could you chang the names in the scripts from this SkillBuyStone to some thing like this goldskillbuying stone , tokenskillbuying stone and xpskillbuying stone so for pepole like me who might what to run 2 differern one at the same time can with out having to try to merge them and messing thing up or let me know where all the places in the script i would have to chang the manes are please

No offense to you ot A_Li_N but since he didnt originally write the system only modded it to make other issues easier for people... if you want to run multiple versions of this item then well it really easy go in and edit the name yourself. Its not that hard. People around here seem to be doing it all the time and rereleasing the scripts as their own. So you should be able to do it. Although if A_Li_N decides to do it on his own to further make things easier for people then thats his choice. A good day to you both.

PS A_Li_N if I didnt thank you in the other thread for your mods to these files I will do so here. THANK YOU! Although I only used parts of it to add into my level system, but isint that what the posted scripts are for anyway .

i did not meen to offend any one by asking i just did not think i could do it on my owen since i know nothing about scripting ( but i am learning some thing about it now ) i should of looked and tryed befor i posted this

I actually thought of doing that, but then I decided not to.......
I decided that I wanted this to be just a recoding of AV's post, and not something new. (Makes sense in my head) It is very easy to do just that, especially since I have given the three versions. Just open up the version you want to change (all three files) and change all instances of SkillBuyStone to TokenBuyStone or ExpBuyStone or GoldBuyStone or whatever you want.

And thanks Greystar, and yes, that is one of the uses of posted code Cut away!

ok i understand why you did not and i did make the changesand if i only use the one for gold i have no problems

but if i try to use all 3 together i get this error

so i removed RobeCollector.cs and BaseLandLord.cs and tryed agean and got this error

i get the playermobile one with the xp one with or with out the gold one installed and same with the tokens on ( token one might be becouse i have not set up daat99 tokens yet in game but it is installed
what did i do wrong ??

You don't have a system that uses Experience installed. So I wouldn't worry about installing that stone untill you get one.

the gold one only uses gold. the token uses gold and tokens, and the xp uses gold and xp.

The only combo there isn't is tokens and xp :d

The ones at the bottom are the ones that zarraz edited, the ones at the top are the ones A_Li_N modified from the original written by Admin Vorpsire(think thats spelled right).

1. i use the old stones from the other topic. if i change to these will they i have iongame be fucked up?
2. does these take money from the bank?
3. is there a way to set MinSkillRequirement on them?

Correct. It is exact copies of heres but it is specific money designed for that specific stone. If you want money just use the gold or tokens.

If you set your skills to over 120, or the skill cap, it asumes you have all skills done at the highst. If you finish a skill it will be removed from the list.
