Run-Time Error '424'; Object Required Is there a certain location I need to run this program from? *Edit* I see others have already posted with this problem ![]() |

First off I love the idea of this program.
The only problem we have with it is that about half of all thescripts made with it do not work. Don't get me wrong, the ones that work are great.... but the ones that don't have between 2 and 18 errors each.... lol....... seems very random...... and we have tried and still use two versions of this....... Script maker 2, and Script creator 2.7.Just wanted to let you know...... if you want we will post some of each, working and non-working. As I said tho...... we still love this and will still continue to use it and sort out the ones that we can fix and just script the ones we can't fix by hand.... lol...... ![]() Penndragon |

Thank You,
I have not tested the output of the files, however the error I was recieving when trying to create a mobile with the program does not occur now. Thank you for your time and effort into fixing this issue, and of course making a program for a newb like myself! Scott Hathaway |

it would be great if you could post some of those non-working scripts, hell i thought they all worked lol. Thats cool tho, if i can see the scripts, and the erros i can fix those in about 5 minutes. |

I posted too soon...
![]() I can go into the mobile section and do everything to create the item, but when trying to preview or save the file, I get the: Run-Time Error '424'; Object Required Also, there is a window it seems where I am to be able to see a preview of the item? Or is that just empty space? If I am suppost to see an example of the creature I am selecting, it does not work either. Lasly, where do you run the program from? I mean what is the exact path to your .exe file on your computer. (i.e. C:\Programs\ScriptCreator\xxx.exe). Thank you Marak for your help. Scott Hathaway |

Heh dont i feel like an idiot? Sorry guys these latest problems have been my fault, somehow my primary project had rolled back to an old form, which had links to things which i removed, ive manually updated it (the top post has the new rar now) that should fix the problems. *sigh* its always something simple.

Marak,
I'm so close! ![]() OK, now when I attempt to create a mobile, I can make it to the test, everything looks good from what I can see in that window... however when I click on "Create the Script", It gives me the following error: Run-time Error '52': Bad file name or number I hope this is getting closer to working for me hehe |

ok guys you reported a 424 error on creating a mobile... now i eventally figure how the previous one was caused(a 424 is when i mislink something) and this one seems to be due to the name, but here's the funny thing - mine works doing that?!?, can one of you re-d/l the package and tell me if that fix's it?if it dosnt can you tell me what type of creature your making, and did you fill in the name field?

To extract the rar file you must use an unpacking program such as WinRar (or the Total Commander could do it). Once that is complete simply go to directory where you extracted it to and double click the exe file!
Awensome time saving program Marak! Thanks a bunch! |

Ahh i think he's missed what this is - its not actually part of runuo at all - its a 3rd party tool i created to make scripts - THOSE you install into your runuo server.
