I'm an old school D&D player (as I'm sure a lot of you are). Here's a bit of nostalgia for you GDQ freaks like me. By the way, this is my first submission.
Add DrowLolth wherever you want. I made her a boss to the spider cavern on Illshenar. On damage, she has a chance to spawn helpers (drow, terathan, spiders, etc). After she is "killed", she transforms into her true form, a huge spider. New files: Drow Lolth - Lolth in her drow form (spawn this one) Spider Lolth - her "true" form trapdoor spider - a repackaged orc scout with venom Rod of the arachnid and spells - a modified glacial staff that has "web" and "dark strike" capabilities Fangs of Venom - a warfork that has a chance to inject greater poison on each hit (never runs out) Install: Just drop into your customs folder and spawn DrowLolth. Some of the helpers Lolth calls is from malgrimace's Drow Mobils v 2. Drow Mobiles V2 Lots of Elves If you don't want to use those, edit the DrowLolth.cs file and put in whatever mobils you want. Thanks: God, from whom all blessings flow. Dev team - Great job! malgrimace for the drow jaynigs for the orc scout Can't remember who did the glacial staff I modified, but thanks anyway. All the other scriptors out there that I have learned from. *edit* My shard is a home-run shard with only 3 people on it (me, wife, daughter). With that in mind, I have to tone down some monsters as often we have to solo tough monsters. You may need to beef up some of these for your own shard. *edit part 2* Added a link to malgrimace's elf pack. Last edited by Staceman; 04-12-2006 at 12:28 PM. |

I'm reading a sub-series of the Forgotten Realms books right now; it's called War of the Spider Queen (by R.A. Salvatore). This book has drow elves/Lolth/etc. Very interesting... nice release

Hmmm. I didn't know he had written Star Wars novels. I'll have to check them out. I usually stick to fantasy over Sci-fi but I love his writing style... |

Here's where the elf scripts come from. Spring water is part of the druid spell regs I think.
Sorry about that, I forgot about the good elves. HTTP://www.runuo.com/forums/showthre...ood+high+elves |

Staceman one more thing I changed my oppositiongroup.cs as I said before. But as far as Malgrimace's drows go. His name file gives a warning in the console. I dont know how to fix it. It compiles and everything but it does give this warning:
World: Loading...Warning: Exception caught loading name lists: System.Xml.XmlException: The 'namelist' start tag on line '482' doesn't match th e end tag of 'names' in file 'file:///C:/Documents and Settings/Soul/Desktop/Run UO 1.0/Data/names.xml'. But I have been tinkering with em. I am gonna make a newbie dungeon with them. Thank You Good Job.

Staceman!
Hey! Thanx for this package. I downloaded it not long after you put it out. I wanted to thank you for making it possible for me to do a little tweeking to your script in a way that I decided to put up what I did with her on my shard. She comes with a few items naturaly as well as a chance of dropping other artifacts when she bites the dust. Hope you dont mind me posting my version of your script. She has a diffrent look and feel. Thanx again! Oh! BTW. I made it worth the items when you roast her. She's NOT an easy one at all. So those items are well worth it when you finaly take her down (evil grin) |

In response to the errors people are getting with my Elven script, ensure you added the custom names, as stated on the original "lots of elves" post I made.
You have to open RunUO Software Team\RunUO 1.0 RC0\Data\names.xml and edit the file. Look at this post to find out more about this. |

I have the custom names added but still get the same error....
HTML Code:
World: Loading...Warning: Exception caught loading name lists: System.Xml.XmlException: The 'namelist' start tag on line '482' doesn't match t e end tag of 'names' in file 'file:///C:/Documents and Settings/Anita/My Documets/RunUO-1.0.0/RunUO 1.0/Data/names.xml'. You then want to look at the code above that, since it appears that one of the naming declarations is wrong. What you're looking at, should look something like this: Code:
<namelist type="DrowFemale">L'm'lith, Vorficlya, Isebrilia, NÃndra, Anodia, Hodith, Galirith</namelist> Try this and see if it works. |

If you happen to get that working how about posting the entire file because for some reason I can't seem to get it names.xml to open

I got it to open. But I think mine is different than yours.
Quote:
<namelist type="DrowFemale"> Elaug, Char, Myr, Lua, Jhan, Lar, Lineeer, Triel, Olor, Erel, Rhyl </namelist> </names> Maybe I got something wrong. But I opened it with Notepad. It worked so i am not complaining. If need be I can post the entire file here. Just let me know. Thank You
