Recently I found the current release of RunUO actually works with the .NET Framework 2.0. Since I am going to start working on a extensive modification of major systems, and I wanted to use the .NET Framework 2.0, I decided I would make the required changes to use the updated methods.
I have not tested the modifications, but I see no reason why there should be a problem, took ever precaution to avoid errors. If you find an error I request that you post them in my bugreport section of my website. I will make any additional changes as I find them, to make the current release support the .NET Framework 2.0 You can download the current release by using TortoiseSVN and using the following link to the repository. https://svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/seanchen-group You can download the current package at the following location. http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...ease_id=415610 If you find a bug you can report it to the following location http://bugreport.seanchen.net/ Changelog: Code:

You claim to know what you are doing but then you have a broken link and many typos in your opening post. Priceless... |

And Xanthos, the first link he posted requires you to use TortoiseSVN, not a usual web browser. This may explain why it appears broken. |

wtf does this have to do with anything about net framework 2.0? we dont care if u fight with ppl and we dont need to know the information. If i post everfight i got into there would be like 5 threads ever week about me fighting with someone. Phantom was nice enough to release this u dont need to make him look bad or anything just bec yall two fight before.

The reconstruction of my post is germane to this thread in that Phantom claimed here that he does not need to test his changes as he believes himself to be a seasoned vet. I disagree in anyone posting untested code and mentioned that in a post that has somehow gone missing. I'm sorry, as much as I may like to, I cannot take responsiblity for Phantom looking bad. |

Dont mean to double post, but it seems my request for help has gotten covered up by petty bickering..
Could someone please post the instructions for this mod, as for some reason my microsoft word will not open the attached file. I downloaded the new version of sharp develop, and it only works with .net 2.0.. so any assistance with this would be helpfull. Thanks. ![]() |

Well, being the terminal fence sitter that I am, I can see both sides.
In a for-profit environment, if one checked in untested code more than once and it caused a problem, they would likely be unemployed. In an environment such as this, which is free and subject to download choice, I do know for a fact that several very senior contributors here simply compile their code and if it compiles, they assume (correctly or incorrectly) that it is sufficient for general consumption based on their experience. Whereas that may not be best practice, in this particular case, I would not think that anyone not quite adventurous that did not have a decent background in programming would bother to download this. If they did and experienced problems, Phantom is here quite frequently to assist. I do realize that this sounds like a defense of one in particular, but it is certainly not intended that way, just trying to add another perspective. If you line up 10 people, and walk them through a room with nothing but a cardboard box in it, and then when they emerge from the room, ask them to describe what they saw, you will most likely end up with 10 different descriptions. Does this effect coding for cash? Absodamnlutely not... Hopefully it inspires insight, however. |

Ok, just because I'm an ass, I have to say this...
The first lines of code I ever wrote were completely bug-free. It was one of those test System.Out.Println, but that still counts, doesn't it? bah... I know... shut up, stupid... ![]() |

I have updated the following files:
Accounts.cs BaseCommandImplementor.cs I will update the archive when I get a chance, its going to be a couple days, since all my work is on sourceforge's svn repoistory you can update the two files by hand till I do. |
