A Custom Artwork HOW TO for beginners

Well, I have searched and searched and spoken with tons of people and I have finally figured out the whole custom artwork and makeing patches thing, so I thought in return, I would make a "HOW TO" that actually has pictures in it so people understand what it is that it's referring to. Please don't advertise your shard, its a direct violation of the rules.

Infact this post should not be in the "Script Releases" forum, since its not a script. There are other websites for this kind of submission.

Phantom, I am not trying to be rude or anything, I am meerly trying to understand.... I have recently (less than a month ago) read a post that was directed explicitly towards haveing your shard name in your signature. It was stated in that post that it was acceptable. If this is innacurate information, then I believe that it should have been handled in the previous post that was directed towards this particular subject. I appologize if I have offended anyone. I was simply offering one on one help with this. And I also appologize for placing this submission in the wrong catagory, but I thought about this for a week, and couldnt find a better catagory to place it in. There are many posts pertaining to people inquireing as to "how to" do things with artwork, and I was attempting to help alleviate a little of that in a more clean form than Tannis has.

althow i have been playing uo or free uo shards for around 5 years now im still new to all this scripting jaz ill have to get those programs that your talking about and play around with it to see if i can do any good at it ty for the info im sure it will come in handy

Thanks for the tutorial, should help quite a bit in the future.

Just a question as I have yet to read it all the way through, does it cover adding art to a shard that don't use verdata.mul?

no, it doesnt but that's the easy part. Use InsideUO and find the picture (with the red back on it) and dbl click at the bottom of the small square is 2 #'s just type [add static #### (insert number here ) either the first # or the second doesnt matter which and poof it's there

But making a post, and having your a link to your shard's website isn't exactly the same. Like I said I wasn't going to say anything about the submission, till you made that last post.

What i believe phantom is telling you is that you are correct about mentioning your name in your signature, but that is not what you did in that post above.>
what you actually did was post it in the message body, and not an actual signature.

I dont care what anyone says. My staff and I have started to fool with artwork and this is gonna help us out tremendously. Thank you for posting it and keep up the good fight of people who just down on others for trying to help. +++ Karma

Well, I certainly appologize for not adheiring to the rules. I was meerly trying to correct the signature of my name for other people's information, but! I now know for future refrence, and I appreciate you bringing this to my attention.

I haven't had the chance to open this and look at it yet, but I fully intend on doing so when I get home. For now, though, thanks for the submission. Something of this nature obviously takes time to create and package, and you did it expecting nothing in return. The least that we, as a community, can do is to say thank you for the time and effort.
