Default [2.0] Lootable Treasure Piles

Lootable Treasure Piles
RunUO 2.0 Script

Description:
This script adds three Addons (without Deeds) which are decorative treasure piles that produce loot for Players. Once added a Player stands within one tile of the treasure and double-clicks it. They will receive (default settings) between 100 and 250 gold pieces and a 15% chance of a gem or jewelry. Each Treasure Pile remembers who received the loot and will not produce loot for that player again for 18 hours (also adjustable.)

Use:
Place this script in your Scripts\Custom folder and restart the server. Ingame, as a GM or better type [Add TreasureEast or [Add TreasureSouth or [Add TreasurePile. TreasureEast and TreasureSouth are intended to be placed against walls; TreasurePile is for an open area. There are settings in Props for the Minimum and Maximum gold amounts, the time delay before the pile is lootable again, wheither or not a sound will play when the pile is looted, and the percent chance a gem will be produced. Note that the percent chance is expressed as a number between 0 and 1, to have it produce a gem every time use .99999. There is also a MaxUses property which defaults to zero. If MaxUses is anything other than zero the Treasure Pile will be deleted when UsesCount equals MaxUses.

Notes:
Each Player can only loot the pile once per time period. However many Players can loot the pile in a short time span. The (default) 18 hour delay applies to each Player individually.

The list of Players who have looted the pile are not serialized. If the server is restarted the pile will be available again to anyone. Also, when a Player loots the pile they receive a message telling them what they won.

Updated from 1.0:
The 1.0 version of this script actually works unmodified in 2.0. This version adds the PlaySound feature as well as cleans up the code a tad.

David 2 Things:

1st. Good Job. I love your scripts.

2nd. Have you thought about creating a David's Script Pagage? I think it would be very useful. Would help find your scripts easier, all of them are great. You could use separate thread for Harvest Syst and other bigger projects, but keep this package with all your *little* but brilliant scripts!

Woot. Loved this in 1.0 and going to put it in 2.0 as well. Glad for the update!

I concur. David writes some great scripts.

As an aside, we worked on making actual treasurepile addons (and deeds) with the [addongen that Arya came up with in 1.0. Once I get the server up, I'm going to post an addition for more types of treasure piles that will work with this script. Thanks again!

Default Am Wondering?

Could this be put on a spawner to spawn in dungeons and only be used once at each spawn time at which time it deletes until next spawner time? Kinda like treasure chest are used once and then deletes then respawns?

Yes that should be doable. I would suggest one of the advanced spawners such as the xmlSpawner that has the ability to set props on the items it spawns so you can set MaxUses without editing the script. The spawner can also despawn items so you can make it decay after a while.

OOoooh had a thought a moment ago. Is there a way to have the script require A) players are in peice mode and B) players musta sit AT the pile for a relative time.

My idea was this:

Placing said pile near something such as a strong dragon. This would deter the weaker characters from looting unless they come up with a nice scheme. In any case, they would get a loot bag, that slowly fills up, close to around 5,000 gold or so, with editable entries for copper and silver incase the shard in question has those working, and based off of your ItemID skill, a higher chance of a magical item of great value.

Example:

Mourn is a theif. He has 60.0 Item ID(RP wise) so that he can discern the properties of a magical item. After having lured off the dragon, or having it engage his counterparts, Mourn immediately sets off to looting the treasure. While there he grabs a bit of everything. 3,273 gold, 543 silver, 708 copper, and a variety of items. Because he has 60.0 Item ID his chance of chosing a powerful item is say 3/10ths a chance of success. So he makes it off with about 12 weapons, and about 5-6 are good.
*you just randomly pick up items and are not able to actually know what they are until you leave the pile(this starting your 18 hour counter).

I know this is more work, but just wondering if anyone is interested in the logistics.
