Little question.

I added, on a fresh "SVN 285 ML 122" your distro.
The questions are a little dumb, but i wish you'll still answer me.

1. Just placing your distro on that SVN, i get some errors caused by doubling some monsters (ML monster exactly). What are the most updated?
2. Some spawners are too full. Let's take Lurg's place as example. It spawns 2-3 lurgs in the cave, and 4-5 grobu... too many, this will just get artifacts drop too common... Is there a way to reduce the monsters or eventually place more spawners with just a single page of monsters?
3. Are monsters like lurg, miasma and all of the other minibosses dropping? I got artifact drop only by Putrefier.
4. About Putrefier. It's n the badspawn log. So i think it's in a bad place maybe...
5. I tried Paroxysmus quest to enter the room with my admin character. I noticed that the dungeon is FILLED with monsters. And when i say filled i mean EXTREMELY filled with mobs. Something like a single corrosive slime surrounded by 5-6 other monsters... (i come from a osi style server and there is a little easier...)
6. Monstruos interred grizzle are spawned inside paroxysmus cave. They're peerless from Bedlam dungeon, so why are they there? O_o

I think it's enough with questions for the moment xD
I wish you can explain me how to better setup the spawning system so i can take more attention to other things

Question i cannot dl Nerun's Distro.zip.....(edit: nvm...)

hi all,

just wondering if there was another place to dl the file:

this is the file listed in this thread.... when i try to extract the zip it tells me that the file is not a valid zip because it is empty... when i try to just open the zip file it says that it's invalid....

i choose 'extract here' and it extracts a file with the same name as the folder... but this file has no extension...

so, any help is welcome... i've searched using google and havent found anything as of yet... thx for your time!

i guess i'll include the file as an attachment... dunno if that helps, but it's there.

You need to add .zip to the end of the file it extracts. I just d/led the file you posted and once .zip was added the the file with no extension it extracts fine. Seems sometimes .zip files get double compressed when uploaded

yep... right after i posted that, while u posted your msg, i found that... i also found out that i was on the wrong tap in ie.... heh.. i meant this for the rc2 file... but anyway, thx for reply!

1.- Sorry, i work with Stable releases, never with SVN. Try RC2.

2.- Yes, too much, to reduce the number, try to edit the appropriate map file. Read tutorial for details. Or you can wait some weeks for next release, i will revise the spawns (i dont did it yet).

3.- ML Legacy mobiles in Nerun's Distro will not drop artifacts. This issue was removed. I just edit Lokai's files to work properly with RC2. And i did it fast, just disabling somethings. In other words, distro 5.0.8 was released too fast (in a weekend).

BTW Nerun, the SVN is basically only one step beyond RC2. RC2 = SVN 284, last update was SVN 286 and only did one minor change now it's reading SVN 295. no idea why the big jump but it's really not a whole lot different then RC2. It's stable and I've been using it. Just wanted to clear that up. Any of the scripts I release are done on the SVN and have yet to be not compatible with RC2.

Oh btw i fixed my little problem

Just a question about .map files.

poisonelemental is the mob name (to place in the same page is mob1:mob2 and so on)
6285|353|60 are the coords

...and all of the other numbers? is there a way to understand what are those?

Ok ive got a osi account 9 years old and active and ive gone to Paroxysmus Trammel And Felucca lots of time and the Interred Grizzle are there in Paroxysmus and the way i made my maps for ML is osi way so all those creatures you see there is 100% osi way so just tho i let you all know this.

Read tutorial for details, there are many possibilities to improve your map. There are keys like Overridemap,Overrideid, overridemaxtime etc.

PremiumSpawners has 6 Sub-Spawners inside each Spawner. Every sub-spawner has your own amount of mobiles to spawn (SpawnCount1...).

You can place several mobiles inside each spawner, example:

*|Iceserpent|Snowelemental:Iceelemental|Frosttroll |Ratman|||5681|191|-6|2|5|10|20|15|1|3|4|1|1|0|0

1st spawner: ice serpente (amount: 3)
2nd spawner: snow elemental and ice elemental (amount: 4, randomly)
3rd spawner: frost troll (amount: 1)
4th spawner: ratman (amount: 1)
5th spawner: none
6th spawner: none
Everybody shares:
X = 5681
Y = 191
Z= -6
MAP = 2 (Trammel)
Delay = 5 to 10 minutes
HomeRange = 20
SpawnRange = 15
SpawnID = 1

SpawnRange must be <= HomeRange
HomeRange = walk distance from spawner
SpawnRange = spawn distance from spawner

Please, read tutorial for all options. Inclueded in the distro files.

Hey all, I'm pretty new to the forums, but had a quick question. Everytime I dig up a treasure chest from a tmap on my server... I get disconnected after trying to open the chest. I noticed that it's spawning 146405 items in each cheat =O The chest has a max of 125 items :P

Anyone else having this issue? Any suggestions on how to fix that?

I'm running RunUO 2.0 RC2 with distro 5.0.8

My apologies for what are quite probably stupid questions however, you've peaked my curiousity and I'd love to fix this issue. And I did search for updating clients, but to no fruitful avail.

Our esteemed Johabius said that in order to fix the logging in as stuck in the ground problems is a client issue.

And he said that we need to update the client. My questions are :
How does one update the client?
Doesn't the patching do that?
If I do update the client client, then how would I update the server machine's client?

Yes patching updates the client. I believe what you are referring to when you mention being stuck in the ground has to do with the map files being changed around patch version 6.0 So if your UO the server is running off is patched past this point and the players connecting are not they will not be able to move.

Your distro is great only 2 files missing.

The only ones that are bad spawns. Any sugestions?

I downloaded and followed the instructions. The peerless dungeons simply don't exist. When I ran Spawner, I clearly saw them listed and checkmarked, but nothing happens when I go to a specific one. ??? There are also no Quest NPCs.

Read FAQ in the first port. Read question "1", Spawners dont spawn...

nerun, I read that and did that. I"m completely unhidden. I've ran around the entire world triggering spawn points. There are simply no spawn points inside Bedlam. I suppose I can set them up manually.

ive tried downloading Nerun's Distro zip file above and it says the zip file is invalid when i try to open it?? can anyone assist or point me to a valid zip file

All the zip files on the forums got double compresed. The easiest way is to use WinRar to extract. Add .zip to the file it exttracts and you will have a valid zip file. Hope that helps.
