i was looking for them thanks so much i relle wanted to play around with them, if they are the ones i think they are they are just NPCs that wander around that you can hire to help you fight and stuff...

Acutally, I have beefed these guys up just a touch, nothing great, but enough that starting palyers can actually have a LITTLE more assistance when fighting.

They hire out cheap and work for a day in hunting :]

Im going to be adding some Elf HIrables also to the list, you guys have fun!

Smile Elf Hirable Fighter

For those wanting an elf type to hire, here ya go :]

I have several other elf NPC's to get the whole elf feal going - if anyone is interested just ask and Ill post em for ya( they are easy to do, it just saves others the time of having to do them )

You can read through here, this has the Tokuno Names, Elf Names, and all the others. Change it as you see fit :]

I made a new type based on the basehire, just wondering how I can change its price. This thing summons deathblades which can pretty much allow the master to solo a champ spawn so I want these to be very pricy.

Take the BaseHire.cs and make something like a BaseGreaterHire.cs and change all the BaseHire stuff to BaseGreaterHire and then change all the prices to what you want.

For example take the HireBard.cs and he would become,

public class HireGreaterBard : BaseGreaterHire

All you need to do is place them in your Customs folder - you make a folder in the Scripts folder of RunUO.
To add them ingame, just put them on a spawner:
HireBard
HireMage
Etc

I tried that and got an error for each cs, saying they already exist in mobiles.

sorry not realy a scriptor so i have no clue. Do i need to modify a file or something too?

Any idea why these seem to cause a lot of client crashes and a little lag? Every basehire.cs I've tried out seems to do the same, guessing they're all based off the same faulty script.

We have had no issues, and are running the latest svn 109
Our players use them also quite a bit, because they are beefed up to assist new players have a more viable fighting partner.
Perhaps post your crash report and can see from there.
Also, we have a lot of these spawned and not sure what lag you mean.

All client related issues, no server crashes. Basically, the first time you see them (just after spawns etc) often they'll crash your client. Also they seem to generate a small amount of client lag, making it more choppy etc.

Well I dont know what to tell you other then we are totally patched, use the latest razor and the latest svn.
We have no core or player mobile modifications - this is a pretty simple script actully, Im sorry you are having issues.

I would do a search for Neruns Distro, he has a set of hirables in his package. Perhaps those will work better for you, if they do let me know and Ill take a look at them and see if the ones I released should be updated.

I've tried the ones in Nerun's. Same issue, was assuming these were based off the same basehire.cs - I'll look into the problem myself, just thought I'd check if anyone else was having similar issues.

It seems that hireables in nerun distro are bugged, there isnt Hire choice in context menu... if i deleted that folder and used files from here, everything was ok.

And second thing.. i just set:

in BaseHire.cs

Summoned true, because when the Hire is released, it disappear, without this mod, when hire is released, its still in the world, and this way can be your world easy spammed, if there is some spawner of hire, and someone will hire and release them in cycle.
