the ticket wouldn't be hard. I don't think anyways...

the thing would have to be making a stone to automate it...be able to enter the prize on the stone, and then have it do the drawing at "X" time.

Just like to say nice job on this script. we have a 6/49 lottery in Canada also but the odds of matching all 6 numbers is 14 milllion to one, so on a shard of 40 - 50 no one would ever win the jackpot. Canandian lottery sells over 30 million tickets per draw and it is not always won. I like the 5 out of 5 hard to win but not impossible

Thanks for your feedback.

I did think about working out the odds but never did, might do it later but from the testing i've seen it's looking like i think maybe a couple of rollovers and there might be a winner.

Looking at it like this...

Draw is 5 Different numbers from 0-9

Say a draw gives 1, 2, 3, 4, 5

the other numbers are only like 6, 7, 8, 9, 0

and from testing with the luckydip option most of the time hits on 1, 2, or 3 matches seem good, the 4 & 5 were ok too, i guess i'll see tonight in about an hour... it's draw time on my shard

No, theres no way to place more than one stone with this, thats the way it was designed.

The stone (the only stone) holds all of the lottery details on it, it's built into the stone and saved onto the stone which allows shard re-starts etc through serialization/deserialization. The rest of the system checkes only this one stone or the properties on that stone.

It could be re-made to run checks on other stones in your server but to do so would require alot of code changes, maybe even a total re-write which would probably be quicker to do.

Thinking about it, it probably could have been done differently to allow for retail points (places to purchase tickets) but at the time wasn't something i thought about when i made it.

I think I may remove payouts for anything less than a 5 number match so that this becomes a major gold sink. Imagine if half the gold players invested into tickets was removed every lottery round that someone hit the jackpot. That is a lot of gold going out of the economy fast.

Between that and casinos and such you can really balance out the economy right from the start of the shard and keep it under control.
