[RunUO 2.0] Heracles Quest

This is a quest based on the old story of Heracles.

Here is a small education lesson on Heracles:
He was a famous Greco-Roman Hero. He was the son of Zues and Alcmene. Zues swore that the next son born of the Perseid house should become ruler of Greece, but Zues jealous wife Hera, played a trick and made Eurystheus born first instead of Heracles. So it was Eurystheus that became King instead of Heracles. As Heracles grew older he had to serve Eurystheus and take persecution from Hera. Hera had tried to kill Heracles when he was an infant by sending in 2 serpents. Heracles killed them. Heracles married Megara and they had several children. He murdered her and his kids because Hera put him into a fit of rage. He was ordered to become Eurystheus's servant for his acts. But Eurystheus told Heracles he could get out of being a servant if he completed 12 tasks. Thus this is where this quest was born.

This is a drop in and go quest. No modifications are needed unless you want to change the strength of the monsters and or the loot drops.You have to complete the 12 tasks. Which is basicly finding and killing monsters and collecting the items off of them. When you have the items you will double click the chest given and all items will be combined into the chest. This is not a hugely easy quest and it is long. I hope you enjoy it.

EDIT: Make sure to edit the mobiles to fit your shard. Some of them are really hard. Also the gumps do not give locations for the monsters. I left it up to my players to eventually find them all. But you can edit the gump to give clues as to where you put the mobiles.

Heracles was the greek name for Hercules.

I never noticed this submission before, so I just downloaded it and will be installing it within the next few days. I'm sure our players will love it.

no it is not, or atleast as far as i know.
You'll also want to toss a book in the gump so people wont be so confused as to what else to do next(or at all). As far as i see there are no "set" locations for you to put things, so keeping to the whole mythology of it makes it somewhat hard for the locations..unless you just dont care of course.

necro....when in the context of a forum post....is posting on an old thread that hasn't been posted on in forever. Kinda like a necromancer raising the dead.

the only reason i didn't answer your question, is because i didn't know the answer myself.

But at least your necro was for a good reason....you have alot of people who will do something like that for a stupid reason....such as a post like mine for instance.....if it were my post that had done the necro, i would expect to get called out on it and made fun of for a couple of extra posts lol

There's nothing wrong with necro-ing the custom scripts. There are many classics here.....

No you have to set spawners and change the gump for your clues. I made it so you all can customize it. Not all our shards are the same, i.e. people with their own maps. And there are various spellings for Heracles. The proper name found in my Brittanias was the name I used. But there is also the disney version Hercules and so on.
