Ok lets say you want to copy a city from a map to another map. or copy a dungeon from map to map... Lucky for you theres UO Copy. in this tutorial i will explain In-Depth how to use it.
Step 1 - InstallationDownload and install, i got my copy from http://shardwire.org/Downloads.html Just unzip it into a DIR you will remember where its at. Step 2 - Selection Ok now comes the selection of the area of which you want to Copy ill use my map again for example, but the same will apply to all maps. i found the easyest way to do this is load pandoras box go to the travel menu and select the cordinates of these corners. ![]() A - A will be your first cords so write them down. for me i got 4354,801,0 B - B will be your second cords so write them down. for me i got 4496,925,0 Selecting the new location I have already selected a new location. ![]() Placement You see this is where i want my city. so i will have to select the top left corner cords which for me are 3909,854,0 UOcopy ![]() Source Ok here you enter the static0.mul staidx0.mul and map0.mul this is the Source the files from which your getting the first location. so enter there path there. Destination This is the location of the Destination files. the map.mul that you want to put your new city (dungeon etc) into. The items.wsc is the place you want to place your files. (you can place freeze these items using Worldforge later see my Indepth worldforge FAQ) Copy Rectangle This is the information we collected before A - Goes in min x / min y B - Goes in max x / Max y C - Goes in Off x / Off y (your offset will always be the top left corner) (Off Z is only if your changing the altitude of your entire Copy) Commit To commit the changes you have made simply press copy map.. then Copy statics. it will add all your changes to the map file.. and all your static items to your Items.wsc (which like i said, you can freeze with worldforge refer to my worldforge FAQ) In Conclusion In conclussion this tool is only nessesary if you wish to copy a large portion of the map and move it around, or move it to another map. keep in mind that worldforge can only handle 65000 items at a time. if you wish to do more, you have to make multiple rectangles. This has been another mogbert FAQ if you find this FAQ usefull just pm me and let me know if you dont feel free to --karma me, because i really dont care unless you leave your name and have constructive critism. Thanks alot guys Have fun if you need any help aswell PM me |
