If you don't have a c# editor like VS .Net or Sharp Develope when you first open a .cs file and tell it that notepad is the default program to open it, it will change all your .cs file icons to the notepad one. But this doesn't mean that they aren't .cs files. I got tired of using sharp develope for .cs files, found notepad to be much quicker for me so all my .cs files have the notepad icon as well, it doesn't cause a problem cause it's just an icon. If your having a problem after you edited that file most likely you did a typo or something like that. Read the error and if you can't figure it out post it here and we'll help. Your problem isn't for sure the icon.
