Hello,
sorry if this has been asked before. I didn't find a posting about this by using the forum search. I'm going to RunUO instead of POL. But i need to know when it's READY to use. Can you, at least, in which month all scripts will be completed? Of course i know, i would be able to script them myself. It's a pity i don't have the time to do that. I've no problem waiting for it. But i need to know when. Thank you in advance, Ron |

you dont NEED to know when, you WANT to know when...
It will be a while before its perfect and they hve all the bugs out of. it, in fact, that prob wont ever happen. IT probably going to be another week or trwo before it is even remotely playable, right now it would be except for all the skill/stat/combat/spell bugs If you have little time, start working on your srver and figuring it out. I started two weeks ago and can now start over again and do what took me two weeks in jsut a few hours... Everyday i can spawn/create art/modify scripts fastaer and faster... just start using it and dont worry about when it is bug free |

The devs are not your slaves:
It will be done when the devs get around to doing it. That's all you need to know. But judging from the current acheivements we've seen, I'd say you won't have to spend too long waiting. Patience is the key. |

Sorry, but i'm wondering about your replys.
I only wanted to know when it's ready to use. If you can't say that, it's ok - then i'll use another emulator. I know - the key is patience, but i don't have the time to wait. If the dev time for the basic system is just open end, i can't say let's wait until it's ready, since it has to be ready the next few month. We're not creating a new shard, we're switching the emulator, because we can't work with sphere any longer. Good Day anyway, Ron |

The question you asked was answered as best it could be.
The truth is, RunUO IS ready to use. If you cant wait for a few simple scripts, or script yourself then use another EMU. After all, its not like the Devs are loosing a 'customer' if you dont stick around to use it. So dont think you are hurting any feelings by saying you might go to another EMU if a time is not given for 100% completion. |

skills/items/spells scripted in the distro version. RunUO hasn't. The emulator software itself maybe it's ready to use (or almost). But you can also buy the computer itself but can't see anything without a screen or write anything without a keyboard. Just for comparison. I CAN script, i CAN program (yes, c# too), but i actually DO NOT have the time for that. That's the point. Flame on me. Good Day, Ron |

I really dont see that anyone was flaming you.
I use RunUO on a live server all day long, there are only a few spells missing, and at this point I dont forsee it being much more than a month or so before its completely done. |

Admitedly, it's only when I add a new script and find I've missed a ; or got an extra }... *grins* RunUO is the only Emu I've used that only crashes because of End User Error, so yep, it's the most stable and the best.

I agree that Run UO is the best... the amount of time and effort put into the project is amazing.
The only other emulator I have used is UOX3... it sucks monkey nuts compared to Run Uo. Ron, if you want it to be "finished" faster go do some testing on the dev shard.... I have been playing around with taming all day.... (Grrr look at all the bad spelling :x) |

hmm, The stupidity was the asnwer of "when it leaves Beta"? If you had taken the time to read over a few posts here, you would notice the amount of posts that ask this same thing.. When will it be done? when will the next Beta come out?.. you might have also noticed that a good amount of those posts get some negitive answers. It does get old.
