Default Modify AoS 3D animations...

Anyone knows if there si a way to modify/add 3D models and animations?
It would be good to use years of 3D modeling experience in Shard customization...

its not possible the format is most likely not very good, as the graphics look horible lol

but either way there is no way to edit the animations for the 3d client.

You can take the models and animations OUT of the 3D client and modify them or even use them in another app (Though this is not legal...), as one of the Underworld 2 remakes did. Dunno about putting them back INTO the client, though.

:? Gosh... I've just taken a bad hit...

So the only way to customize UO graphics is to install the 2D client and edit thousands of bmps...

Back when third dawn was first released I took the imp and opened its "skin" with photoshop ( at least I think it was photoshop ) I rehued it back to the original red and from that point on all imps displayed red in the 3D client for me.

If this is still possible I do not know. Persoanlly I hate the 3D cleint so I dont play in it or even have it loaded on my machine.

But if you can open their files, the skins are definitely editable. Now if the skin will fit the model after your done, thats a whole other issue.

2 days after UO:3d came out a guy was modifying animations and creating new ones. He had a whole tutorial on his website, I have no memory left of what it was though.

All I remember is you need to have granny sdk and several other tools, which costs big $$$.

yea maybe in your oppinion phantom but i think they look fine for being uo. i mean really nothing in uo is really spactacular looking but thats not the point. what the point is is veriety if every shard looked absolutly the same it would get boring. new animations are like eye candy and are definatly welcome in my world. thats just my oppinion but then again i could be wrong...

I totally agree...

'cool' animations but poor gameplay make for a lousy game...

We allready like the game so why not 'spice up' the animations eh?

My idea was to balance the whole thing... But you can understand that if you can import NEW objects, models and animation, you can really do anything you want with UO!!!

Actually the problem is that editing a 3D animation with 3D Studio MAX is grately faster than create all the frames required in a 2D animation like the ones in UORenaissance...

I've visited the Granny's editor site it is the same I referred to as RAD tool...
