Once UOAM works for runuo, would it be possible to show all players in the world locations. like with the tracking option but since the admins would have all the players info can they use it for this purpose?
this would be a great way to stop cheaters, since you know where they are and will have an idea how long they have been there. |

uoam does work for custom maps, it does not however recognize uogateway patched custom maps.
uoam DOES support this, but every player on your shard would have to login to your uoam server which is 100% optional so it wouldnt be useful for your purpose. |

Another drawback of using the existing UOAM dedicated server software is that it has no way of distinguishing between what shard a client is actually on. Thus, I could connect to, say, a UOGamers UOAM server then start running amok as an admin on my shard! Everyone on the server would only see where my client is posting to on the map but not actually know I was never anywhere near them...
On the plus side, UOAM dedicated servers are quite nice but like UD said, they're 100% optional. |

Not a C# expert yet, far from it, but shouldn't you be able to write a script that outputs a file or stream every x seconds, then read this in and display on a facet map via the Utlima.dll or some other toolkit?
After all, we're only talking x and y coords, and maybe user name/account #. |
