I am going to hilight 3 shard that have proven RunUO's power and abilities:
1. BlitzKrieg: Perhaps one of the largest RunUO shards, with client counts numbering greater than 200 and item counts exceeding 1.5 million items. Blitz stands alone when it comes to PvP shards. 2. OrbZyX: Quite possibly the most customized shard ever created on any emulator, Orb was created by Sicklab the RunUO Scripter and his fellow friends. Orb is an amazing shard, with a 100% roleplay aspect to it. Userlevels peak very high on Orb, and with its userbase being hand chosen it provides one of the most unique game experiences ever. 3. UO Gamers: UO Gamers has been consistantly a small shard. We never really advertised it, kept it on the downlow and it was small and fun for the people that played it, until recently we advertised it and it burst out of the gates and increased the playerbase by 150% in less than 7 days. With a peak of over 160 users online, boasting over 8000 unique accounts, UO Gamers has quickly become one of the largest shards out there, thanks to the users of RunUO.com Quick stats for UO Gamers: Active Accounts: 8716 Banned Accounts: 14 Firewalled IP's: 5 Clients online: 104 Mobiles: 16,238 Mobile Scripts: 360 Items: 200,000 Item Scripts: 1807 Uptime 00:13:18:39 (Restarts every night for server wars/maint) Memory: 197.1 MB |

1061 accounts (I purge accounts offten).
0 banned. 6 firewalled. 77 clients online is record peak. 2657 mobiles. 156695 items. 9 days 10 hours record up time. 1.5-3sec save times. 46.8mb memory says the admin menu, taskmon says it using twice that. ~~~~~~~ Small size custom map (keeps players from getting loney *wink*). Custom rule set based on OSI's pub 15, with no skill/stat-loss for reds and a mix of Siege perilous rules. 225 stat total cap, 100 cap per stat (pub 15 rule). 700.0 skill cap - 100.0 in each, No power scrolls (pub 15 rule). Economy largely based on the players (Can't buy anything craftable, nor can one sell anything to NPCs). Accelerated skill gain, and macroing is aloud.

Also, because the memory is 'managed' temporary memory is not freed until later, so in the case of doing a shard wide respawn, you make notice the task manager reporting an incredibly high number because RunUO just finished a very large task that create many objects, which althought they are no longer used, have no be deallocated by the system. THere's no way around these problems, they are part of using a Memory Managed language, like C# and Java.
