Default Ok quick RunUO question

Hello everyone,

Ok I have been using SphereServer (Yawn) to no avail, then I heard about RunUO. Now i have win xp and a 2.6 ghz machine with 512 ram. I am planning on running an AoS shard with RunUO. I understand I need .Net. Where can I get a populated world with items and mons, npc, etc? And which version of RunUO would suit best? I mean is it like SphereServer where only certain versions work with certian items? Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Ephezian

This is not like spheresever where different scripts are incompatible with differant versions. ALWAYS ALWAYS use the latest version.

As far as Spawned worlds... the defualt runuo comes with doors decoration and vendors spawned, but you will need to add any moneter spawners and stuff Manually. ( [add spawner <- The double click the spawner)

Cool thanks that is gonna be so nice. Not having to try 14 different versions to find a compatible one.

Thanks again

Sometimes with a version upgrade, some scripts need tweaking, but for the most part the scripts continue working. So ya, always get the latest which is currently b36.

As for a fully spawned world there are a couple of people who have taken on doing this.

The best "spawner" sofar is Bob Smart's XML spawner. There are xml files that will let you spawn up everything except Malas. Its not nessisarily OSI perfect, but its pretty good. I made some files to spawn up Malas.

There is also Atomic's Spawner, and are many files you can download to spawn with it. Haven't personaly tried it myself though. However his is still supported where as Bob Smart apparently has moved on so other people are just doing what they can to keep it moving forward.

Then there are the spawners that come with RunUO that you would have to place and populate manualy. Personaly while they do get the job done, I would suggest one of the other two. Once downloads is working again you can get them.

Bobsmart's spawner has a visual spawning program, so you can edit the spawns, etc. outside of the game, and then load it up, it's fairly nice, but unsupported now.

As for user friendly, easiest way I believe is using Arya's "Pandora's Box" utility, I haven't checked out the spawning tools on it, but I believe it's done well
