Default how do i setup .NET thingy?

when i try to open server.exe it says

.Net Framework installation error
please set key HKLM\software\microsoft\.NETFramework\InstallRoot to point to the .NET install location

can someone help me out. i have no clue wtf its talking about

I think it means that you have some problem with your windows registry

seems it can't find in your registry the directory where u installed .net framework.

Try installing again .net framework, it will be the easiest way

Umm.... Maybe you should set the registry key HKLM\software\microsoft\.NETFramework\InstallRoot to the path where .NET framework is installed (C:\WINDOWS\MICROSOFT.NET or whatever). HKLM means Local Machine in registry editor. If you have never edited registry, I suggest not to do it, it can be dangerous :twisted:

I think he should just try installing 1.1 .NET Framework again, and not edit something that could possibly make his computer not work.

He isn't the best computer user, clearly.

Yes. Regediting is good only when reinstalling doesn't help.
