Default Help with RunUO

Can someone assist me in finding a way to run RunUO on my computer?

I have the files dled along with the .net framework (not the SDK one). I have Windows 98 and each time I try to start the program it says something to the effect of "Your OS is incompatible with our program". I had this in another post but that one got deleted due to a "forum time warp". Can anyone help me out?

RunUO was successfully installed as was the .net framework. Do I also need the .net SDK framework too?

Here's what it says to me:

Windows Service Error
Operating System does not supporta Windows service. A service can only be run on Windows NT, Windows 2000 or later.

That's what it says when I try to launch RUOservice.exe.

1) You don't need the SDK

2) You don't run RUOService.exe. You run Server.exe.

By running server.exe will that also allow me to play on my own server too? How do I play on my own server? I know how to do the 127.0.0.1 stuff. It's not knowing how to play on my own server that is the problem.

Yes, using 127.0.0.1 will allow you to play on the same computer of which you use to run RunUO - you can achieve this by running "server.exe".

Please keep in mind, though, that the UO client is a big resource hog, and if you are running it on the same computer as RunUO, it will cause lag for other players.

So... how do I make the UO client load up my own server? Where exactly do I change the info?

Get UOGateway, set the IP there (Remove encryption, of course)

Oh!!!! Ok I see now!!! I already have UOGateway so that shouldn't be a problem.

And you type in the info needed under My Servers on Create Local Server Listing right??
