Phantom brings out the stupidity in everyone... someone has to do it. Without phantom, everyone would keep expressing their stupidity freely without any concern. People with such a disorder need to be told so, and thats exactly what happens.

If you cant read a 1 page document stating the rules for posting on the forums, then you deserve to be told off. If you download something, it doesnt work, but someone else says that it does. Then its no more a concern for the program or website, but of the persons computer, configuration, hardware, etc. And those concerns are not going to be explained within the forums.

Now, my point here is, you dont know who your talking to.. this guy might be some 40 yr old guy who simply likes uo as a hobby after work.. maybe he did try hard to get the download to work maybe alot of things.. now mr helpful telling him tough tittys could result in many things. One being maybe he never bothers coming here again... maybe this guy could have been an asset to the community. Maybe he would have donated some money and now you just cost the site owners money. Maybe many things.. bottom line is this is one of 2 websites i visit frequently.. thats my own game server and here.. ive kept quiet for the most part but im tired of people feeding that crap about how important he is when he makes posts like that which prolly in the end drive people away. Personally im 26 yrs old.. own my own business and doing this is a hobby for me to relax.. In the end the whole runuo team made an amazing emulator and i think its too bad people have to be turned away like that.

phantom may have not helped him directly in that post. But he did help in the fact that he stated that it is the persons personal problem (either with his computer, or ISP) and not the runuo.com website. If it extends farther than that, no. Did it help him completely, no. Phantom's way of saying he cant help is "tough shit". Get used to it?

Yeah I didn't help the guy. Nothing really I could say that could help. He wanted something that was not allowed and I wasn't going to continue to post that it works for me.

Tough tittys was meant as a funny closing to a simple problem.

Also most likely the guy was trying to get the download during the small period where the downloads were Fuk3d up. So when I said it worked for me I figure that would be the end of the problem.

What else was I suppose to say? If he has a problem with the file, he needs to fix his machine. I help with runuo related problems not to help some 14 kid fix his computer...
