Why cant anyone get on my shard? - RunUO

I have edited my shard and now I think it is ready for a few people. No one can log on, everyone is getting stuck on "connecting". Any help on this is appreciated, and thanks in advance.

You have hardware ( a router or firewall ) blocking the connection.

And/Or you haven't configured serverlist.cs with your outside IP/URL. If the later is or is also true and you use a Dynamic Domain Name Service, there is a serverlist.cs that works good in Script Submissions.

i dont use a router, nor a fire wall. mebane2, i have not configured the serverlist.cs, thx, i will do that.

are you sure this has to do w/ people not being able to log on? they are entering using my actual ip... i am a newb to all this really... i went to 'runuobasic scripts' and was thinking that possibly i needed to fix:

private static bool AutoAccountCreation = false;

to

private static bool AutoAccountCreation = true;

but that is already like that. also, i have no clue how to insert this script. lol, i have tried to download sharpdevelop, but only can find sourceforge on the webpages download section.

i found the scripsubmissions.cs, and will insert it... i just need to find out how to do that

lol. if you can explain it w/ out waisting 5 mins of your time i would appreciate it.

Yikes! you have a machine with open ports sitting on the net running a listen service with no protection and you are giving out your IP?

can you say, "JACK-POT!"

You need to take care of that right away.

let's not worry the guy about getting hacked,,, he can get a Software Firewall, and be safe... Just remember, he has the best Emu out there.. RunUO
