Highly Suspcious Email - RunUO

I had some guy contact me today regarding hosting my shard...He wanted me to email him a zipped copy of my shard..Which to me makes very little sense. Wanted copies of my accounts.xml file (which I removed all logins/passwords from)...

If you get an email like this watch out;

I say don't trust anyone you don't know for a good while, so many shards have closed because of bad staff, it's insane.

Give him a fresh install of RunUO Beta 36 with a blank world, and the administrator account with the password 1234. See what he says.

Also I highly doubt alot of what he says based on one sole reason. He didnt capitalize his I's, and he used 9th grade highschool grammar. :\

They do stuff like

Air/Ground Domestic Radio Service
Air/Ground International Radio Service

Industry is: Aviation/Defense/Transportation.

They don't "fix computers" or host uo shards. And Airport != Air Force Bases.

Oh and ever had a company like ARINC contact you over "msn,icq,irc,aim"?

ARINC are big shit not some cheesy little "I-have-a-pc-in-my-cellar" and "call-me-host" company.

They do work with air force bases, but they are not an air force base.

And yes, it does seem weird that a big company like them would contact for something OUTSIDE of their field. Unless its a corrupt employee out to screw poeple and play UO.

If this is a precise copy of the letter you recieved, I would suspect english isn't 'Mr. Clark's' first language, which seems odd when he says he's associated with an air force base. He also has a very unprofessional tone, sounds a bit on the young side to me. My advice: -Run Away!

RunUO has never asked anyone to host his websites. Ryan knows how people who offer free stuff work. Reason he pays for stuff, they can't request shit.
