Rudnes of RunUO Moderators

It strikes me that the moderators on RunUO has becomed more or less rude. I think moderators should be an example to how users are suposed to act on these boards, and not use harsh laungue or flame.
I have several years exp on boards, and the tumb rule is, that when ever staff/moderators start to loosen and bend the rules them self so will the users and it will all end up in a fatal chrash and burn situation.

I hope that the moderators and owners of this forum wont take this littel thread as any knid of flaming nor any front attack againts them, its only meant as a littel advice, because I would realy like to see RunUO to take the step away from the trend these dayes on the internet, (some blame AOL) I blame users lack of behaving propper toward others....

Please give examples of them being rude.

Been around for a few days, and I have read several of the threads, never see them being rude.

Hello Jason...

I would prefeer not to, I got two reasons for this....

1. There is no reason to hang out any one, those I speak about I´m sure know what I´m reffering too.
2. I had hoped for this thread to ba as short as possibly, and it was only ment as a "hey you guyes, sharpen up a bit"....

Sorry I just had to make a joke about it. I haven't had a moderator from here be rude to me since I signed up (which is a while back). I think if they are ever rude it's probably more because they were provoked in which case most of us tend to get a little... euh edgy.

Nope I am very very pleased with how the forum mods behave. I've seen far worse practically everywhere

I guess 'rude' is a very vague term anyway. If I were to take a critical look at my behaviour I could probably identify at least a hundred aspects that would make me 'rude' in one culture or the other.

now this comment alone will either turn this conversation into a philosophical discussion, a cultural debate or a flame war.

I've always looked up to and respected almost all of the mods. Just about all of them can do more with C# than I can and they have always been around to share their knowledge.

Must say. At first I thought phantom was an ass, but I came to realise that he's not, and is actually very helpful. All the mods are cool too.

Sometimes the moderators have to be brutally honest in order to get someone to understand something.

Our sole purpose here is not to be "the standard all RunUO users should strive to be" but to moderate and ensure the proper use of these forums. Each of the mods have their own unique style to doing their job.

I'm out of town for a week and look at all the fun I missed! I too would like to know what prompted the opening post. I think TheOutkastDev summed it up pretty well, but any of us can take constructive criticism. Keep it honest and open and maybe you will make me a better person.

*shrugs*, I've never seen a post where a moderator was out of line, but that's just me, and I tend to have lack of sleep, and / or am under the influence of something or another, so I probably wouldn't notice anyways (j/k), nah, the mods do their job well in my own opinion.

Edit: Except for psz of course, he's damned rude in that he doesn't play favourites with me, we all know I'm his favourite player (that's rarely on )

You're absolutely right, I posted a link to the wrong thread .
I'll see if I can find the one that I was supposed to paste there. If I can't oh well. I don't really have a problem with any of the moderators and any rudeness is mostly deserved...I was just providing an example that I saw.

I suppose this was kind of rude in the link I posted if it's any consolation though:
