Default How does UO Emulators where Created?

Any Idea if the originals UO Emulators where implemented by Reversed Engeniering or Some code was "duplicated" from the official UO server?

If you know about any site explaining how the UO emulators are created please let me know. By the way I am a C# developer

no the RunUO code is not an emulator or reverse engineer of anything. It is completely original.

There was a link in one of the forum posts a LONG while ago that had a mini history of UO Emus.

The original UO emulators did a bit of both, reverse engineering that led to the discovery of some old OSI server code.
