Default Avatar (floating sword) in RunUO

Everyone knows the avatar scimitar, which floats around and you try to kill it.

Now, I took that, and turned it into a robe. I then tried to have it equip items (like a person would). I never saw the items it equipped.

Can someone confirm if this is a client problem, or RunUO. I did this with sphere 55i, but the client was 2.0.3, so i am not entirely sure.

you mean the umm sword that looks spiritual??? And if so then It is attcually a Body that OSI uses in animations....

There are several you can use, Halberd,Bow,Axe,longsword,Scimatar and other such you can just go look at the body list thing it'll tell you under the item body animation stuff =P

If this is not what you mean then ignore me lol

Yeah it is.. I made an NPC with the body of a robe. No problem there. But when i give it something to equip, I want to be able to see what it has equipped. Is that possible?

No.

That is client side.

If this were possible, all animations would have to be at least close to human-shaped. Since they are not, equipping for non-human chars is not possible. Else you could make a dragon with a straw hat and sunglasses ;-)

The client knows better than to show items equipped on anything but a "human" model. Hence the new evil mages do not show them actually wearing robes on AoS clients.

However, on OSI they do have some way to make character models totaly invisible, but still have them wear more than one piece of visible clothing. They've done it twice that I know of - once with a ghostly knight in tunic, trousers and weilding a weapon, but with no body, and once with Minax, in leather armour and wielding a weapon, but with no body.

I made a few invisible creatures...for the bodies I used...male: Body = 185; Female: Body = 186; and then used the Hue = 54321; which is ethereal...then you can equip what you want

I hope it was Body = 0x185 or Body = 400 for male and
Body = 0x186 or Body = 401 for female

Default hmm

here is my guess. ok a player can have an invisable item in there pack.. true wellto do something revers would be some kind of script issue.. think of it this way.. a gm sees a player with a robe.. he sets the robe to invis.. its still there but all you see is the player.. so what you need to do is work up a mod that will let you do the opposite.. to allow a player to be invis and not there items..
