Is there a basic guide that someone can point me to. I wanna start my own shard and have no idea where to get started. Hardware? Software? C++?????? AHHHHHHHHH. Help please.

Well, you found the right place.

I would suggest checking each forum and looking at each 'sticky' topic. They contain alot of useful information.

Another place with is good to look it the Frequently Asked Questions forum. Many of the question that keep being repeated on the board can be found here with a simple search.

Hope this helps. There is just alot of information to try and absorb, so be patient.
