Default A new Command [GM

I've played on a few shards with a command named [GM. It's got the basic functions of [Admin but only has commands and things that a GM can do, this removing the "FireWall" and "Ban" features, along with the ability to create an account with the window have been removed. I dunno, thought it'd be a good idea for a command for the core.

I don't really see a need for this.

Everything a GM can do he can do with props.

I dunno, the fact is the OSI GM's use a command prompt to do their commands. Not a prefix. I know this for a fact because my brother was a counselor for OSI for almost 2 years before they got laid off and a companion for almost 5 years.

Admittedly, RunUO is aiming to be an OSI clone, but this is RunUO, not OSI.
Want the [GM command? Grab it from script submissions. I'm sure it's there.

These things generally don't go in the core either.

Runuo is aiming to be an osi clone and this is the suggestion forum to help it get there. Its a better idea then most i see posted as far as following guidelines of the forum.

Unfortunately, there is not sufficient evidence of how the gm/admin part of OSI works, and I'll tell you that it doesnt matter. If you think there is something missing, add it. There is nothing a GM of OSI can do, that a GM of RunUO can't. Also with that.. whats the reason for a [GM command? The [GM command was used to disable/enable GM access (like sphere had), which is not needed. If you need it, use the levelboots to change your accesslevel (or make a command to change your accesslevel temporarily).

There is no [GM command in the submissions forum. I looked on every page.

I was just looking and found this.

Thats not really right!

A GM can't see who is online, not tele to the players whose are online (and I think a GM is a GM to make macrocontroll or isn't it?)!

Default Commands

I was a counselor when they were shard specific I left just as they made them shardwide.

Our commands were accessed by typing into the client just like you would chat except you put a . (dot / period) before it. You could of course hotkey them just like any other text entry and most of us did.

Arrow Counselor Commands

Not sure if this would be of any interest to you, I dug through my backups and found this from when I was a Counselor...

I do not beleive I'm giving away anything here that would cause lashback from OSI which is why I'm posting it in a public fourm. I do not even know if this list is used anymore as it's been a few years since I was a counselor.

None of those, are valid commands on RUNUO nor would they work on RUNUO.

So basicly they are 100% useless.

I am 100% aware they don't work in RunUO. As I stated.. it was for intrest stake.

I am new to RunUO and haven't had a chance to look through the command lists or the command structure for Admin/GM/Seer/Counselor yet so I have no idea if it is even set up with different functionality ... from what I have read so far the GM's have accesss to the Admin menus though I havn't had the chance to confirm this myself as of yet.

Why would a gm have access to the admin gump? What would be the point of two different access levels?

GM's are not admins they should have different gumps and commands I would think... though as I have said I haven't had enough time to devote to RunUO to explore the different command paths.

Some commands are Counsilor or higher accesible.

Some are GM or higher.

Some are Admin only.

I am an admin on my personal shard, and a GM on UOGamers.

While there is some getting used to not having commands like [admin (Which I primarilly use for shutting down/saving/restarting the server), the majority of commands work fine for GM ([who, [add, [set, [inc, etc)

They could be useful if RunUO intends to be an OSI clone. He's just sharing the command list for a counselor from OSI.

I do miss the autotarget functions from being a senior companion. That made it easy to deal with several things at once, monitor multipule companions and find the arch companions faster.

We already have those commands and more, if you look at the list.

I don't see the point, its just the name of the command, and the arguments for it that are different.

I only made an issue, because he didn't make it clear, that those commands are not runuo commands.
