Default RunUO Power!

I like to keep the peace between all the emus as much as I can, so first off, don't post anything negitive about other emulators here.

Anyway, RunUO Power. For any non-believers log into the RunUO Test Center and try out Capture the Flag, or my personal Favorite, Double Domination.

I feel more than anything these show the power of runuo to do things I have never seen any emulator do. (I could be wrong--tell me.)

My personal favorite is double domination, based off the game from Unreal. 2 teams, 2 way points. To score each team must capture and hold both way points for 10 seconds. First one to 5 points wins. To capture a way point, just walk on it.

Capture the Flag, which is easier than DD, is pretty much as you would expect.... 4 Teams... 4 flags. Capturing the enemy flag gives your team 15 points, dieing costs your team 1 point. To capture the flag, go to the enemy base and double click it. It will be moved to your pack and your robe will turn yellow, also the team label over your head will say which flag(s) you are holding. take the flag to your base and double click it, target your flag to capture. Target a teammate to "pass". Beware, if the flag is not captured in 2.5 minutes the flag carrier will be killed and the flag will return to its base.

Sorry if I'm a little proud, but it was fun to make these games, and even funner to see them work. Everyone come play double dom, its really fun to watch 5v5 fight over a waypoint :-)

Man, get a life. Don't take this wrong, but stop nagging about the factions. They won't come faster, it might even have the opposite effect. Don't worry, they'll come sooner or later.

This is not ment as a flame, but it's a bit anoying to see you asking for the factions everytime you get a chance. Calm down and enyoy all the other goodies that exist right now.

Factions is stupid! Factions was suppose to be a style of capture the flag, but with cities, and the point system completely defeated the purpose of factions, and with the point system factions became a extreme gank fest.

It's obvious the RunUO team can create way better games that have an actually point to them. Personally, I hope they never script factions.

They will script Factions - remember the aim is for RunUO to be 110% OSI standard. I'd say now it's about 90, maybe 95%.

I do hope that the CTF code gets in there, though. That looks a lot more fun than factions...

If it's supposed to be 110% then they got a long way to go before they reach 90%.
Runic hammers, ancient hammers, runic weapons, smithing BODs, tailoring BODs, BOD rewords, plants, ant dungeon, ant quests, reword for ant quests, factions, champions, veteran rewords system, hunger, pet loyalty, pet transfer. That's all I can come up with off the top of my head, but I'm sure the list goes on. Also, I'm sure others can add to this list.

Most of the shit above RunUO can do without!

RunUO right now isprobally uptodate with pub16 (not the stuff you said)

but a bit earlier its almost identical. They, im sure wil be adding those stuff as it comes, and then they can be 110% at uos time now, but as pub16 they are 110%

Based on the current playerrun shard standards, RunUO would currently run a shard with no problem in my opinion

How could that be possible if they haven't scripted all the skills yet?

L337 You have some real smart things to say, as far as runic hammers and all that goes, it has been scripted. Some people like factions some like tram ext. people can do what they want, thats whats good about uo. Id say runuo is like 80% done. A lot of things is still to be added.

I must say, that sounds fun, both of them. I haven't made an account on the RunUO test shard, but I will have to do that now.

Thanks Zippy!

Runic Hammers: Scripted, no core support needed
Ancient Hammers: Scripted, no core support needed
Smithing Bods: Maybe one or two things needed in core (doubtful)
BOD Rewards: All scripted
Plants: Scripted
Ant Dungeon: Scripted (All ready in game)
Ant Quests: Scripted
Ant Quest Rewards: Im wondering why alot of things that should just me "Ant Quest" you have broken down.
Factions: Scripted
Champions: Scripted
Vet Rewards: Scripted
Hunger, Pet Loyalty, Pet Transfer: Core

When I say scripted, I mean you could script it right now, not that its done.

And last time I checked, Factions, Ants, BODs, and Plants are all eye candy, I would prefer getting things done that need to be done.[/quote]

I agree. I stated in a earlier post that I think RunUO can do with out these, but that's just my personal opinion.

If I could post a poll on the boards, I would, but since you guys removed that feature from phpBB, or maybe it's because you guys are using an older version. No idea. Anyway. What I'm curious to know is why all of us want to start our own shards? What reasons do you have for wanting to do so? And last, How many of you still play osi shards? I thought that most of us here, making our own shard was to put PvP back into uo, but I want to find out how wrong I am.

We disabled polls because they were abused and got annoying....

Also, you should probably note that we most likely think it's eye candy too, since we haven't done it yet.

I currently still have an active account to UO - but i'v been a "member" of runuo for 6 days now, i play on my own shard or some others every day, and have logged into OSI Uo 3 times, only because AoS was introduced, I have not bought AoS, do not intend to, but intend to keep an active account a little longer to experience new items and creations OSI side to implement them to RUNUO, after all, this suppossed to be, and quote, a 110% OSI Standard.

Well why I have my own shard.... well I dont have a shard.

I dont have a active account on UO any more. Why I quit is because its not fun any more its not like it use to. I love the Pvp on how it was long time ago. It has changed and I do not or will not go back to Uo again.

thats why I am with RunUo.
