Default Karma

I realize that this may come back to bite me on the ass, but some users deserve good karma more than once. Some users deserve bad karma more than once.

A good example is Phantom, I have seen many posts where I wish to give him more good karma, but I can't.

Another example is people that deserve more bad karma, I would love to give them more, but I can't.

There is also an issue where sometimes what should be good karma registers as neutral. It appears as a grey icon and does not count for or against the total karma count.

My theroy is that the "I approve" button is selected by default but it does not really register unless it is actually clicked. As a test I did just that to the above post. (Sorry Quantos, guess I never gave you a click... )

It's all in there to prevent abuse and people making double accounts to give themselves karma. You must meet some requirements for your karma to count, such as you must have a number of posts and possibly karma as well. Also when your karma is high, you give more than one point.

I thought it would be possible to give good karma twice after you spread enough karma around.

I've been spreading it (with my name attached to it of course) but have yet to be able to give certain people karma twice.

Guess I'll keep trying, some of the people here actually deserve a bit more karma :P

Yes, you can definitely give karma twice. I'm on round 2 right now hehe.

Guess I'll be looking forward to dump some good karma on you again then :P

It seems that sticky in the new join forum earned me two karma points in 400+ reads. I guess I'll have to write 4 more FAQ's of some sort in order to be able to get a little bit of karma out of the people here.

I always enjoy rewarding good posts, guess there's not too many others that do hehe
