How big is the subscriber script section??
is this like some small group of uber scripts....or is there a ton like we have on the normal script submissions?? i know they are definatly better quality.....most the people that i have heard do the scripts and systems for that are godlike with their knowledge in C# unlike me....who couldn't script anything with it right now and no, this isn't a request for anything in there so don't anyone go that way |

Well, there's a few scripts there that aren't available to the general public. This is mostly related due to the fact that the people that post the scripts in the subscriber section use it as a kind of advanced testbed.
Problems are quickly detected and ironed out in the subscribers section without there being too many people who talk without having anything to add (like it sometimes is in the general script submissions). From what I have seen so far however, the scripts that are added to the subscribers section generally come out in the public section a while after. So there's about one to ten scripts in the subscribers section that are (not yet) in the public section (but will be there eventually). We enjoy a slightly better support for our scripts and get a lot less 'fluff' posts and that's pretty much where the differences end. I wouldn't worry, most subscribers donated for donation's sake not for the extra benefits.

one of my players (and friend) is harassing me about getting those scripts like it is a holy grail of sorts......i personally could care less and i know most of them have allready been donating and subscribing or whatever before that
only thing i would enjoy is the support and the "request" scripts bit....to be able to find some older scripts thanks for the info....now i can show that we aren't missing anything....or he can come here and subscribe himself i plan on doing this anyways.....just waiting to get my credit card paid down a bit so i can do a larger subscription plan |

The request section is funny in a way. From what I noticed (and I may be blind of course) it's a big bin of good ideas that sometimes get tackled by someone looking for a nice thing to script.
Script requests can sit there for ages or for minutes depending how much motivation it holds. In general you're just as well off starting off the script and then asking for help than you are requesting an entire script in the script request forum. Of course you get more useful help a lot quicker in the subscribers forum but that goes without saying. *thinks* Maybe I should script a holy grail for the subscribers script submission just for the irony of it all. ![]()
