Default Windows XP SP2 Update

Has anyone been able to test RunUO under the new Windows XP update? From what I have read about it might give us gamers some problems.

I doubt it...

It enables the default firewall, takes 3 seconds to configure it.

I have RC 2 installed now. When you start RunUO you get a dialog box that says RunUO.exe is trying to access the network. With one click you can create a "firewall exception" that allows it to work perfectly.

It's out of beta, but it isn't production ready yet, It's currently at "Release Candidate 2". Set for release in mid august. I have it installed so I can find any problems that it's new popup blocking and security features cause with the internal application that we write..

And to Phantom, I wasn't arguing with your 3 seconds, I was agreeing with you, I was jsut explaining how the new interface for the firewall workd for those who didn't want to install a non-production level service pack.

It's actually quite stable and has a lot of nice stuff in it. I've been running it for application testing for about 3 weeks now with no issues. When the final version is released it will jsut install over the top of the test version. I have no problems reccomending the installation of RC2 to anyone at this point. It can be uninstalled in a few minutes too, if you do have any problems. Also, it's not beta anymore, it's out of beta, it's considered Release Candidate 2. Which is basicly final form before release.
